Awakened Alternatives Enterprises, Inc. (AAE) manages a group of companies that focuses on providing comprehensive healthcare and benefits advocacy services to a diverse array of customers from its corporate office located in the Chicago metropolitan area. Mrs. Genevieve Thomas, a masters prepared registered nurse with 30 years of experience in the delivery and management of health care, developed the concept for AAE more than 11 years ago in the basement of her home. Through her visionary leadership and faith, the company prospered. AAE has grown from a small basement operation of 10 employees to a multi-million dollar organization that employs more than 120 health care professionals across two states.

At the outset, Mrs. Thomas differentiated AAE from similar organizations by adopting an integrated approach to patient care. She recognized early in her career that a person's quality of life improved dramatically when the physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural aspects of their life are integrated and balanced with their healthcare needs. AAE has remained steadfast to its mission.

Awakened Alternatives Inc. (AAE) was the first company established by Mrs. Thomas. It is a health services company that provides high-quality home health care to adults and children who are mentally, and/or physically fragile. Many families who contact AAI are seeking personal care assistance such as meal preparation, medication reminders and grooming assistance.

The vision for Advocacy Alternatives, Incorporated was developed by Mrs. Thomas in the early 1990’s. It was founded as a direct result of the need for many health clients to better understand the ins and outs of their benefit programs.Advocacy Alternatives, Inc. serves as a guide -- one that helps your employees properly access and utilize healthcare providers, insurance plans and other related community resources.
